Many men sometimes experience trouble getting and maintaining an erection. When it happens once it's an embarrassment, but when it happens more often, it becomes a problem. Erectile dysfunction, although more common as a man gets older, is not inevitable, nor are they a natural part of the aging process. Rather than age, one or more of these eight reasons may be to blame when a man has trouble getting or maintaining his erection.
1) Stress
Anxiety over unpaid bills, overwork, or relationship problems can make it tough for a man to get an erection. If you're worried about what's going on in your life, it's hard to focus on what's happening in the bedroom.
2) Nervousness
Performance anxiety is another form of stress. The pressure of wanting to get hard, stay hard, and satisfy your woman can make it difficult to get an erection in the first place.
3) Alcohol
Alcohol is a depressant. Drinking delays reactions and reduces sensitivity, so the penis deosn't respond to stimulation the way it's supposed to.
4) Medication
If a medication affects testosterone levels, it can lower your sex drive. Prescription drugs can also impact energy levels, make you drowsy. or make you gain weight. That can lower your emotional and physical energy.
5) Overweight
Excess weight damages the blood vessels and causes circulation problems, so blood has a harder time getting to the penis to keep it erect.
6) Smoking
Smoking can constrict the blood vessels and impact circulation. You need blood flow to the penis for an erection,
7) Low Testosterone.
Testosterone levels naturally drop off with age, causing men to have trouble getting erections, among other things. Low testosterone can be easily fixed with diet, exercise, and supplements.
8) Disease
Heart disease, diabetes, and multiple sclerosis: among other diseases, can block the nerve impulses that cause an erection. Sometimes, medical treatment for the disease can allow a man to resume a normal sex life.
Sometimes erectile dysfunction may result from a one-time occurrence, such as drinking too much or anxiety about being with a new partner. Often, though, erectile dysfunction is just a symptom of a more serious problem. Taking care of that problem will not only help you in the bedroom, but also it might literally save your life.

Want to Improve Your Love Life?
Dr. Joseph Mercola reveals seven strategies for men to improve their sex lives.
Healthy sex cannot be underestimated as a factor for reducing stress, bolstering self-esteem, and fostering feelings of intimacy and bonding between partners. This goes for both men and women, although men tend to be encouraged to use sexual-enhancement drugs like Viagra when their virility starts to peter out.
An estimated 30-40 percent of adults experience a lack of interest in sex for at least several months in any given year.1 The reasons for low libido are complex and run the gamut from stress and other emotional difficulties to physical problems, including erectile dysfunction.
Most men, however, really do not need drugs to address such issues. What they probably DO need is a lifestyle adjustment. Your sexual health has a lot to do with your lifestyle, and a variety of all-natural strategies can be helpful in this area. Read more

4 Home Remedies for Premature Ejaculation
For men who experience premature ejaculation, sex can be bad news. Premature ejaculation means that a man reaches orgasm too soon to satisfy his partner. The good news, though, is that premature ejaculation - the most common sexual problem among men - is also the easiest to cure. More good news: The right treatment is usually painless, inexpensive and relatively easy. Here are four simple home remedies to delay ejaculation for more satisfying lovemaking.
1) Practice makes perfect.
The simplest thing to do if you're a premature ejaculator is to have sex more often, You're more likely to ejaculate prematurely if there's a long gap between sexual sessions. Most men find they perform better with practice. You learn more about your body and your limitations.
2) Try the "stop-start" approach.
The "stop-start" approach involves stimulating the penis almost to the point of ejaculation, then stopping; stimulating it again, then stopping; and repeating this until you learn to control your ejaculations.
3) Do PC muscle exercises
The same pelvic muscle strengthening that women practice to have more powerful orgasms can help men delay ejaculation, To perform Kegel exercises, simply contract your buttocks for one second as though you were trying to delay a bowel movement. Do this 15 times in a row, working up to 60 to 75 contractions twice a day. The purpose of PC muscle exercises is to strengthen your pelvic muscles so that you can contract or relax as you near orgasm, delaying ejaculation. (Some men last longer when squeezing the muscles, and others, when relaxing them.)
4) Reverse position.
Men are most easily aroused when they are on top in the missionary position, so it might be best for the woman to be on top, When a woman is on top, the man can control her motion by guiding her hips. That way, if he becomes too aroused, he can guide her to slow down or stop her movements.
Any of these four home remedies can work, but why not try all four? They don't cost anything, and they don't take much time. You have nothing to lose except for your premature ejaculation problem.

5 Tips to Overcome Premature Ejaculation
Many, if not most, men have suffered an episode of premature ejaculation in their lives. However, when it's a frequent occurrence, premature ejaculation is not only embarrassing, but also robs you and your partner of sexual pleasure. Fortunately, premature ejaculation is usually a curable condition. These five tips can help you overcome premature ejaculation.
1) Try to relax. Take your time and enjoy the foreplay that leads to intercourse. Don't rush to penetration. (Plus, if you give her an orgasm before intercourse, she won't be as disappointed if you do ejaculate quickly.) When you do begin intercourse, start slowly and remember to breathe. Slow, deep breathing helps keep your muscles relaxed, which delays ejaculation.
2) Be aware of your arousal level. It is Know when the sexual tension is building and slow down or stop a bit before you pass the point of no return. You will last longer, and as long as you don't stop when she is close to orgasm, she will enjoy sex more, too.
3) Change position: One method to delay ejaculation is changing position. Some positions, such as missionary and doggy, are quite stimulating to most men, whereas woman-on-top and spoon positions are usually less stimulating Also, if you change your position every few minutes, your arousal level will fall until you build it up again in the new position. Just don't change positions when she's getting close. After she's had her orgasm, you can switch to a position you like and have yours.
4) Masturbate before sex with your partner. Males are considerably slower to climax if they have ejaculated recently. Just masturbate long enough beforehand to allow yourself time to have another erection.
5) Train your PC muscle. If your PC muscle is strong enough, you can use it to stop ejaculation. (My post Exercise for Harder Erections outlines a PC muscle training program.)
Using one or more of these five tips should allow many men to overcome premature ejaculation. Though "overnight" cures do happen, don't give up just because you don't get the results you want the first time you try something. Achieving a happier sex life is worth whatever time and effort it takes.
